Hollywood Take 2: Moviegoers Not Impressed with Lincoln Trailer

What’ happened in Hollywood this week that deserves a second look? Steven Speilberg finally released the trailer for Lincoln staring Daniel Day Lewis. The Toronto International Film Festival comes to an end on Sunday and we will review what films did well at TIFF.  Also, studios are scratching their heads as an award winning special effects company Digital Domain filed for bankruptcy. So here’s a quick overview of what we thought deserved a second take.

The Toronto International Film Festival 2011

Next up in the film festival calendar is The Toronto International Film Festival or TIFF.

The Toronto International Film Festival (originally known as The Festival of Festivals and in 1994 changed its name to the current name) began in 1976 and has built itself up to be one of the most prestigious festivals around. It marks the start of North American fall movie season and the start of the Oscar campaigns by film makers. The festival’s aim is to “promote cultural and creative” films, Canadian films and international films. This year’s festival takes place from the 8th of September to the 18th of September.
