Hollywood Take 2: Moviegoers Not Impressed with Lincoln Trailer

What’ happened in Hollywood this week that deserves a second look? Steven Speilberg finally released the trailer for Lincoln staring Daniel Day Lewis. The Toronto International Film Festival comes to an end on Sunday and we will review what films did well at TIFF.  Also, studios are scratching their heads as an award winning special effects company Digital Domain filed for bankruptcy. So here’s a quick overview of what we thought deserved a second take.

Are You Scared Yet? A Look Back on Oscar-Winning Thrillers: Part-2 What Happened Next!

In the previous article we looked at five Oscar winning psychological thrillers, in this one we’ll look at the winners to see if they went on to do anymore movies, in the same genre that were Oscar nominated or won. As there are many talented people who have worked on these movies and won, we thought it best to narrow it down to one person of each film and one or two movies that they went on to work on. If we didn’t we’d be here for a very long time! Also, Inception hasn’t been included because it was only released in 2010 and the winners haven’t had time to make other psychological thrillers. If you are a Hollywood film enthusiast with a hunger for biblical content you have no doubt heard of three esteemed projects in the development pipelines.  Many have heard of development for Steven Spielberg’s Moses film [1], Darren Aronofsky’s Noah film [2] and even Mel Gibson’s Judah Maccabee film [3] might qualify.  If you are familiar with these directors, then you will likely be bored by descriptions of how they required their reputations.  We will have some time before those movies are released, until then let’s review some of the history of this genre.
