Last night CBS was the first major network to kick off the award show season for 2011 with the People’s Choice Awards (PCA’s). Next up will be NBC with the Golden Globe Awards which airs Sunday, January 16^th 2011 and ABC will conclude with The 83rd Academy Awards which airs Sunday, February 27^th 2011. Over the past two years, ratings for awards shows have increasingly seen a decline in viewership. This years viewership for the PCA’s were even lower than 2010. Will the Golden Globes and The Academy Awards have a better shot? What do you think award shows can do to boost their ratings in the future?
