Love them or hate them , the Duggars and the Thompsons have become embedded in popular culture through their participation in their respective television shows 19 Kids and Counting and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo for the TLC network.
Through all the glitz, glamour and pregnancies, the shows suffered through the personal actions of family members and both were cancelled.
19 Kids and Counting was cancelled due to reports of inappropriate misconduct by Josh Duggar, the eldest child.
Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was cancelled due to “Mama” June Shannon’s involvement with a child molester.
In the end, the network made the correct decision for itself in cancelling both shows. Nevertheless, do you feel that people in charge of airing content on television have an obligation to raise awareness in a positive manner on the topics of sexual misconduct and exploitation of children?
