“50 Shades of Grey” Coming to a Theater Near You!

When I heard about this book 50 Shades of Grey (trilogy), it was from fans who love Twilight and Twilight fan fiction.  For those of you who don’t know what fan fiction is, “ It is a broadly-defined term for fan labor regarding stories about characters or settings written by fans of the original work, rather than by the original creator.”[1]  50 Shades of Grey, written by E. L. James, is actually a fan fiction using Twilight characters Edward and Bella.  The fan fic was called Master of the Universe.  Chances are you will not find this fic on the web because it was “P2P” (pulled to publish) March 2011.  Hence we have the 50 Shades trilogy.

Hollywood Take 2: Universal Sucks Up Twilight Fan Fiction!

This is where we decompress and review the top headlines in Hollywood this week. However, in honor of April fools day, I selected a few stories that made me laugh because of the irony. Let’s see if you get the same reaction.

Essential Stories:

  • Universal purchases: Twilight Fan Fiction “50 Shades of Grey“
  • The MPAA gives Bully an R rating, while The Hunger Games gets a PG-13 rating.
  • Rupert Murdoch complains the BBC manipulated emails by News Corp in a BBC Documentary.
