Did you watch the Oscar’s this year? According to the Nielsen, the 2014 Academy Awards viewership had the best ratings since 2000. An 8% rise from last year. So what made audiences flock to watch this years Oscars? Was it the host, films and actors nominated? Is diversity the answer? I will say Ellen Degeneres made the show fun! Below are a few of my favorite moments.

PIZZA DELIVERY!
LINDA THE GOOD WITCH
12 YEARS A SLAVE WINS!
WHAT WERE YOUR FAVORITE MOMENTS?
I did watch the Oscars and thought it was pretty good. I think Ellen did a great job and i loved her pizza delivery and selfie pic moments. I honestly felt I got to see a normalcy in some of the actors who participated. WEird to say, I know, but when Angelina Jolie jumped in the star studded selfie and genuinely smiled and waved, that was the first and only glimpse I saw of “normal” Angie.
I enjoyed most of the speeches and felt they were all very thought out and loved that a list of 52 billion names weren’t in the “thank you” list. I felt every actor/actress was deserving of their role.
What the hell happened with John Travolta’s slaughter of Idina Menzel’s name??? Didn’t he have to go to rehearsal? Didn’t he know in advance who he was introducing? Seriously, that was just embarrassing and rude. If you can’t see the teleprompter, put on some glasses! I could tell she was nervous, but she did a fantastic job.
What did you think?
