LIH Editorial 9/29-10/5

29 Sep

Hi new and returning readers!

With the autumn equinox here, we are gearing up for months of holiday films.  Soon enough trick-or-treaters will be knocking on our doors and mistletoe hanging from our doorways.

Since Halloween is our first holiday stop, we would love to know what horror/thriller films you enjoy and would recommend this year.  Also, please check out The Horror Digest for a great list of films!

This Week

Monday: Psychological Films—by LIH (open discussion)

Wednesday: The Return of Carrie--by Littlebells (open discussion)

    Here are some recommendations:

    1) Buried (see it but don’t see it. It messed me up for days. It’s disturbing in the most mentally and emotional way because this COULD HAPPEN!)

    2) Carrie: duh

    3) Any of the SAW films: I admit I barely survived the first one, but am pretty sure the others didn’t disappoint fans.

    4) The Shining: Jack. Nicholson. Freaky dude.

“Buried”. Ok! u win. Hahahaha! That film is terrifying. I could not watch great bits of it. Nope! Can’t do it!

“The Shining”- All time favorite! Yeah! This film ruined hedge mazes for me forever. Jack Nicholson goes from playful to this dark freakish character in seconds making u feel like a sucker for trusting him. I’ve seen this film over a dozen times and still get sucked into watching the entire movie.
