LIH Editorial for the Week of 8/27/2012

27 Aug

Thank you for voting in last weeks poll!  It seems most of our LIH fans appreciate entertainment that is a product of creative development.  We couldn’t agree more.

Last week, LIH discussed the basics of film studio marketing tactics.  There seemed to be a consensus that sometimes less is more and constant bombardment can be too much.  Either way it seems there are important skills any PR department needs to consider if there is to be success: experience matters, coherent messaging matters, doing your research matters, and strategy matters.  This week we will focus more in depth on marketing tactics and how films have been affected.

Schedule of Articles for the week of August 27th, 2012:

  • Monday– “I Love Him, I Love Him”: The Fall Of Twilight And Kristen Stewart by Parisienne
  • WednesdayFilm Studios Marketing Tactics-Part 2 by Ozzie
  • Friday– Movie Buzz
  • Saturday-Hollywood Take 2

Ok I see that 3 voters chose TDKR had better marketing. I’m curious as to your thoughts on the marketing used and why you think it was successful…:)
