Movie Buzz 8-3

3 Aug

The Dark Knight Rises still holds the number one spot grossing $288 M.  Our LIH family continue to extend our thoughts and prayers to all those affected by the Colorado shooting who became superheroes in their own right that night.  Ice Age again at #2 ($115 M) with The Watch at #3 ($13 M). Let’s see how The Watch did and if it was worth the money!

Note: We only review films in wide release.

The Watch—PG-13 What’s the buzz?  “Really, wait for it on cable. At least then you’ll be able to change the channel..” says Tom Long of Detroit News.[1] Peter Travers from RollingstoneWhat should have been at least Ghostbusters lite ends up sliming audiences with sloppy seconds.”  Audiences say jokes were recycled but delivered well.

So is it worth the money? No (wait for DVD)

Noooo!!! Not smelly tomatoes!!!! Hahaha!!! Well I’m glad I didn’t waste my hard earned cash. I love Vaughn, Stiller, and Hill, but.even this film looked like a sellout. Now Dodgeball??? I could watch that on a loop system. 🙂
