This weekend, Marvel’s The Avengers, took number one at the box office. It broke Box Office opening weekend records with a staggering, mouth dropping $207.4M. I’d say a lot of people were waiting for this film to hit theaters! Think Like a Man came in number 2 ($8.1). The Hunger Games continued to hold it’s number 3 ranking with $5.6M. Let’s see how The Avenger’s did and if it is worth the money!
Note: We only review films in wide release.
Marvel’s The Avengers—PG-13 What’s the Buzz? Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and the Incredible Hulk come together to save the world from disaster. Joss Whedon, the films director, should be very proud of his film. According to The Atlantic, “His clear vision for each character and how they might be profitably intermingled; his unexpected knack for action choreography; his funny, tender, immaculately constructed script.”[1] Fans (including this one) thought it was everything they could hope for and more. With an incredible cast and production team to work with, Whedon went above and beyond.
So is it worth the money? Yes! For the love of mankind, YES!!!

Dark Shadows (latest review results—44% rottentomatoes)
Thanks for the review.
Regarding “Dark Shadows,” Depp and Burton, I had an idea for an article called something like; When should Muses (or that much less romantic equivalent) be separated from their “Sugar-daddies?” Now I hope I write it.
I guess this is LB.
Referring to the avengers, the trailer is stopped on a cute picture of Ruffalo above.
That reminds me of a sad fact; I fear for any picture realeased this week because the monster will still be loose and I think MIB opens next week.
Yep it’s me! I don’t think Avengers has anything to worry about!
As for your article: I loooove the idea!
Oh, I think the Avengers might have at least another week to pound the competition.
As for everyone else I thought “Battleship” openned next week. They may need our condolences.
As for the article, as you know I don’t really make the schedule but there’s always a possiblity it might happen. Actually “sugardaddies” should be substituted for something far less romantic or sleazy also. It’s so much easier to start out with the research rather than the title.
