Wow, as much as hosts, presentation styles really seem to change from year to year. But choosing stage performers seems to be a pretty common selection. I guess that its either singers of comedians might be pretty logical because they can always embrace, promote or comment on what will be the broadcast ceremony.
Thanks Paris for the review.
CR & paris,
I think singers/comedians are great forms of entertainment, and everyone watching the Oscars want to be entertained. 🙂
Let’s just say between Jackman and Hathaway, I am really getting excited about the new Les Mis film.
I’m still trying to wrap my mind around Russell Crow singing; then again, I guess I knew he was in a band
LB,
….then again I’m amazed at how well your handling this.
A well-known theatrical hit, a big screen musical starring well-known contemporary actors who have legitimate box office credibiltiy For a musical theatre fan how can it get better than that!
CR,
When the first version came out, I was disappointed because there was no singing. I love the music and although I don’t bow down to Crow’s feet, I’m excited to see how it pans out this go around. My only expectation of this adaptation is that I leave with the songs in my head and feeling that the actors gave the story justice. 🙂
LB,
…you will not be watching alone.
