Music is an important part of everyone’s life whether we know it or not. We all remember certain songs in our past that evoked emotions in us. Now we can allow our emotions to speak for us again. We, at LIH, are starting a new column dedicated to music. Sometimes the column will contain music that you can quietly reflect upon at other times there will be different articles and discussions pertaining to music. Enjoy!

Real quickly! All three selections are beautiful and lovely to listen to. I will come back and give a full review on what emotions they evoke in me.
Great job LB & Paris!
I am just waiting to find a moment of peace and quiet so I can truly listen to these pieces. Moonlight Sonata has always been a song that has helped me relax and “get away”.
Thanks for the really nice music sellections.
Yes! Moonlight Sonata is a huge favorite. I listen to it whenever I need inspiration. It’s very freeing and allows me to completely let go. Love it!!
Terms of Endearment: This really causes me to reflect more when listening to it. The music is reminiscent, joyful and sad at times. It captures the full cycle of emotions. I think it captures what the film is really about in that way.
Somewhere in Time: This is so lovely to listen to and another one of my favorites. It gives me the feeling of hope and expectation. Love it!
Moonlight Sonata: with it’s lonely piano it helps focus me and calm me after a very chaotic and crowded day. I like being a long this song helps me get rid of everything “outside” and internalize some peace and quiet. It takes me away to a different place and I know this may sound really weird, but I can’t help but have a choreographed dance running through my head. It’s never the same dance, but I think with ballet and classical music ingrained in me, I can’t NOT visualize dance movements. It’s like my mind stretches and relaxes. A very beautiful peace.
Terms of Endearment: Exactly what you said Open Book, but only if I don’t watch the clip that goes with it. When I watch the moving pictures or video, then I can only think of how the movie makes me feel and all the emotions that it encompasses. By the time I got to Somewhere in Time I was crying. I couldn’t finish SIT because it is just so beautiful and sad and romantic….
