I will be back in the States next week and am going with my sister and 2 1/2 year old nephew to see Cars 2. It will be his 1st movie ever. I am so excited to take him and he is so obsessed with the Cars propaganda. So I will report after we see it.
My first movie was Pulp Fiction. My friends sister was babysitting us and she wanted to see it, so we were taken along. Probably not the best for a first movie at a young age but I did like it. You can never go wrong with Quentin Tarantino. Do you remember your first movie?

Great question!!! I honestly can’t remember, but I BELIEVE it was Bambi. I remember it was long before stadium seating and I cried hysterically when the mom dies. I don’t remember if we left from my hysteria, but for the rest of the movie I was traumatized. I think my first real people movie was E.T. I still am emotionally attached. 🙂

My first movie that I went to see alone was Quiz Show with Ralph Fiennes. The movie that I count as my first ever in a theater (what i can remember) was The Last Unicorn. Have you seen Inglorious Basterds? If so, what did you think of it? I enjoyed Christoph Waltz’s performance very much. I love his acting style, he makes very clear distinct choices for his characters.

Loved Quiz Show. Inglorious Bastards was excellent. I’ve not seen Christoph’s Waltz other films other than IB & WFE. But that which I have seen his performances have been really poignant.

I LOVED THE LAST UNICORN!!!!!! 🙂

        (IB is a must own!)

🙂 I don’t really remember the last unicorn all that well tbh.

Neither do I, but i just remember the unicorn, some princes, and just knowing that I loved it.

It was the Exorcist. My brothers use to take me everywhere children were not allowed. Anyway, it freaked me out for weeks. Loved it!

I see your brothers were doing their job! haha!

Well yes and no. LOL! They meant well. They use to take me to drive-in movies expecting me to fall asleep halfway through. I think I saw Carrie and the Exorcist it was a double feature. Anyway, all these films were never newly released by the time they reached the drive-in. I’m sure they were at least 5 or 6 years old. LOL!

Yes i have seen Inglorious Bastards and absolutely loved it. Walz was outstanding in it. And just think Leonardo DiCaprio almost played this part. His performance reminded me of Denzel in training day, where you just absolutely hated him. He completely out shined Pitt in that movie. Tarantino has a knack for choosing the right actors in his movies. Can you imagine Paul Calderon instead of Samuel Jackson in the role of Jules in Pulp Fiction which I believe was specifically written for him. But Calderon had such a great audition almost got the part.

      Hi Francesa-

Sorry your comment got stuck up in the system yesterday. I just saw it this afternoon and released it. Sometimes the site acts funky but its o.k.. I was going to suggest u get an avatar it might keep it from acting up in the future.

I know u were answering Paris but I can’t help but respond. LOL!
Wow! So Leo was up for Christoph’s part in IB? I can’t even imagine CW owned that part. Now did u know Michael Fassbender auditioned for CW part as well. He ended up playing Lt. Archie Hicox who get’s found out and killed in the pub. And no I can’t think of anyone else playing Samuel Jackson part in Pulp Fiction. All good info.

      • Littlebells June 19, 2011 at 6:38 PM #

As for Samuel, no, no I cannot think of anyone else! He was all sorts of amazing.

GET OUT!!! Sorry, but Leo could not have pulled off a performance like Christoph’s. Holy cow! I always love finding out “who was up” for a role or “turned it down”. Aaaaalways interesting…..
