Mermaids aren’t even safe from vampires in this economy. Last week Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides was number one at the box office according to Boxoffice.com. However, word travels fast. Will it hold on to number one this weekend?  See what consumers and critics had to say then we will help you decide if it’s worth the money.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides-PG-13: What’s the Buzz?  Reviews were mixed among top film critics. Although they gave it high marks for being better than Pirates 3, they still felt it failed to compare to the first film. The most common remarks were dull and predictable.[1] What do consumers think? This film was one of our New Movie Hot Seat picks last week. However, consumers seemed to enjoy the film but claim the first film was much better. So is it worth the money? Yes

• Consumers Say: Metacritic- 6.8 Positive, rottentomatoes: 68%

Midnight in Paris: PG-13: What’s the Buzz? This film is getting great reviews from film critics and consumers.[2] Film critics say this is Woody Allen’s best film in years. Consumers agree saying the cast and performances were hilarious.  So is it worth the money? A BIG Yes!
