Unless you accidently shook hands with one of the Frost Giants, then you know THOR dominated the box office last weekend.[1] Could we expect a repeat this weekend? Probably! THOR one of our New Movie Hot Seat selections did not disappoint film critics or consumers. So how did other films perform after opening last weekend? What did film critics and consumers say about them?  If you are trying to figure out what to see this weekend, we will look into what critics and consumers say and see if it’s worth the money.

Note: We only review films in wide release.

THOR: PG-13-What’s the buzz? 23 out 36 top film critics gave the film positive reviews according to rottentomatoes.com. They are saying this film delivers and will more than satisfy comic book fans and non-comic book followers alike.  The CGI and Chris Hemsworth performance were given high marks. Now this film was one of our New Movie Hot Seat films selected last week and consumers are equally singing it’s praises. So is it worth the money? A big Yes!

Something Borrowed: PG-13-What’s the buzz? No!

Wellllll, still working on the sitter situation, but I think, I THINK, I am going to go see Bridesmaids. I wanted to see EMG, but it’s not at my theater. Thor is running at random late times, and Bridesmaids is the only one that looks entertaining. 🙂 I love Kristen Wiig and at least from the previews it looks funny. Hopefully the trailer isn’t showing the best parts.

Yeah, I noticed EMG is only in limited release. Sorry about that but I would love to hear your review of Bridesmaids tomorrow if u are able to catch it.

      Take Care!
