Linked in Hollywood: Movie Buzz is new, to nourish the film critic in you! Every Friday LIH will showcase the films that opened in theaters (in the U.S.) the previous weekend. Why? Because some consumers like to be well informed before taking the plunge! So in an effort to help you decide if it’s worth the money, we put together the results of multiple critics and consumers reviews, plus what the box office numbers reveal.

Rango: Appeared to be well liked by top critics, consumers and the top winner at the box office last weekend (according to boxofficemojo.com).[1] However, word of mouth? It’s not for kids because it’s way too scary! Will it still hang on to the top spot (at the box office this weekend) without parents taking their kids to see it?

The Adjustment Bureau: If you like a thrilling romance than this film has it.  Some consumers and critics at (moviefone.com) say it reminds them of Bourne Identity. If you like hide and seek with a lot of romance, then this film has it. Both top critics and consumers think it’s worth the money. [2]

Beastly: This film seems to be a favorite among consumers but not a favorite among top critics. According to top critics this film was cheesy and too campy and made for the Twilight audience. Some say it’s like watching a really bad version of Beauty & The Beast according to (on rottentomatoes.com).[3].

Take Me Home Tonight: If this film can manage to make it’s budget back would be amazing.  So far it’s got off to a slow start and has a lot of ground to make up this weekend.  Its opening box-office results are nowhere near the other films it opened with it last weekend. Yet, the consumers who saw the film gave it high marks but not a favorite among film critics.  Consumers, who’ve seen the film so far, really liked the 80’s music tribute film.[4] However, top critics were disappointed and many thought it suffered from to many 80’s clichés.[5]

Please give us your review, if you have or will see any of the films mentioned above this weekend!!! Thank You!

To be reviewed next week: Red Riding Hood, Battle of Los Angeles, Jane Eyre, Black Death and Mars Need Moms……

I saw The Adjustment Bureau this weekend. It was a pretty good film. I think it has enough action and thrill to keep u engaged, with a nice love story and reward at the end.
